SONGS AND SOUNDS ON SATURDAY

Chris Rea's voice wins me over ever time I hear him sing

Happy Valentines Day

(I started the day well, tried to flood the kitchen - accidentally, of course. I left the tap running in the kitchen sink - and of course the plug was in the plughole!)

  2. Oops, bet you had some mopping to do. I have done that before, especially when the dogs are insistent about something. I am not familiar with Chris Rea, but I like his husky voice.

Me too, Valerie. He's got such a sultry and earthy voice. And this song brings back a lot of great 1980's memories!

I've done the same thing while washing dishes - HA!

    Have a super Saturday!

    X to you and Joe

  5. BC, yes there was quite a lot of mopping up to do but I kept the temper even and got through it without too many swear words :O)

Hey Brian, fortunately it wasn't deep enough to swim in. If it was the exercise would have done me good ;)

  6. Good afternoon, Ron. It's pleasing to know that I'm not the only one with a bad memory re taps. It provided a laugh through the day though. Thank goodness for water absorbent mats!

Glad you liked the Chris Rea recording. I just love that sultry voice.

  8. I don't plug the drain but I walk away from filling a bucket or pitcher and then go walking around the house. I hear water running and I wonder how much I have wasted since I finally returned to shut it off.

  10. Hi Larry. I believe I've done that as well, but it would have been outside in that case. I'm still mopping up today.... didn't know the water had gone in the sink unit drawers! Mind you, it was an ideal opportunity to sort those drawers out and remove a lot of unwanted stuff.
