Christmas Ditty

Christmas tomorrow.
Mother said,
lie down and sleep,
My sleepy head.

Look, here comes Santa
Happy and merry
Not surprising
After mince pie and sherry.

Christmas stocking
Hanging askew
Now filled with love
And something new

Oranges? Apples?
What a surprise!
You should see the horror
In the little kid’s eyes

Where’s the Nintendo
You promised before
I can’t train my brain
With an apple core!

NB. ditty scribbled in league with the ongoing craze for
the NINTENDO TRAIN YOUR BRAIN game

  6. Faaaaaaabulous ditty, Valerie!

I remember when I was a kid, asking for a simple polaroid camera was my greatest Christmas gift wish. How times have changed!

Hope you're having a flawless week, dear lady!

  7. Hello Valerie,

I enjoyed this ditty. I agree the brain has to be trained to be alert all the time.It is said USE IT OR LOSE IT.

My best wishes to you and your family for a wonderful Christmas filled with peace, joy and merriment.
